that will take place on 14 – 15 November 2025 in Prague, Czech Republic

Conference will address the matters especially within the fields of International Peace and Security Law, European Law, and Human Rights Law, such as:

  • applicability of traditional notions of PIL, such as the principle of sovereignty or non-intervention, to the domain of cyberspace,
  • regulatory capability of the principle of non-intervention over cybernetic elections interference campaigns,
  • legal and technical problems of attributing cybernetic dis/misinformation campaigns to particular state(s),
  • the EU and the regulation of disinformation in the digital sphere: a viable approach or an uphill battle against tech giants?
  • protecting digital borders: the role of EU Law and cybersecurity in countering disinformation in political processes across the EU,
  • existing disinformation regulatory and soft law strategies & initiatives and its balancing with the existing human rights protection system,
  • the right to receive accurate information? State obligations regarding freedom of expression in the digital age,
  • state-sponsored disinformation as a tool for political oppression: the role of human rights mechanisms in countering digital authoritarianism.
