Leading European scholars and legal practitioners have confirmed their participation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:0px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer wp-container-content-1\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-align-justify\"><strong>The conference will take place on March 26\u201327, 2026.<\/strong> The conference will open with a <strong>discussion on white-collar crime sentencing<\/strong>, led by a panel of international experts. The working languages will be Czech, English, and Slovak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:51px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer wp-container-content-4\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"w-100\">While we encourage you to explore your own ideas, the following topics may serve as inspiration:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list pl-20 w-100\">\n<li>Sentencing of economic crime<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sentencing legal entities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sentencing juveniles and other vulnerable groups<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Factors influencing sentencing; disparities in sentencing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The role of various actors (e.g., prosecutors, defence lawyers, probation officers) in sentencing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Imposing and enforcing alternative sanctions (e.g., fines, house arrest): <br>Practical limits to non-custodial measures?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The use of protective measures (e.g., protective therapy, security detention)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Restorative justice principles in sentencing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sentencing of poverty crimes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Contribution formats<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-align-justify\">Discussion is the foundation of mutual enrichment. Therefore, we welcome contributions in a variety of formats, which can enrich the debate in interesting ways. If you are interested in one of these \u201cnon-traditional\u201d formats, we will be happy to help you organize it. If you decide to submit an individual paper contribution, the organizers will assign it to the relevant section according to its topic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:0px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer wp-container-content-5\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"w-100\"><strong>Choose the format that suits you best:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list w-100 pl-20\">\n<li><strong>Individual Paper<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The application must include a title and paper abstract (max. 300 words), along with the name and affiliation of the author(s). Contributions will be grouped into panels based on the topic discussed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pre-arranged Panel<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Thematic panels should consist of 3\u20135 papers and may address one of the suggested topics or propose a new one.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The application should include the title of the panel, the names and affiliations of the presenters, paper titles, and short abstracts (max. 300 words per paper).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The proposal is submitted by the panel chair, who will chair the session.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Roundtable Discussions<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A discussion meeting on a specific topic in the\u2013more informal\u2013roundtable form.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The application should include the title and abstract of the meeting (max. 300 words) and basic information about the participants (name and affiliation).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The proposal is submitted by the chair, who will moderate the discussion.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Author Meets Critics<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Presentation of a new publication, summary of key findings, and subsequent discussion on the topic.
